Dentist Helps Elementary Students Learn Value of Oral Hygiene

Dr. Eric carries on the tradition of giving back to the community with visits to 1st grade classrooms throughout the Peninsula School District, both public and private schools. Kids love his visits. “Every year, Dr. Kvinsland fully engages our first-graders with his presentation,” Discovery Elementary first-grade teacher Margi Listoe said. “He knows how to speak and ask questions right at their level. The kids love getting the opportunity to be a tooth and get flossed by Dr. Kvinsland. They also become very excited about taking care of their teeth properly.” Read the full article here.

Through the combined efforts of the Pierce County Dental Socitey, Community in Schools of the Peninsula, and the Washington Dental Service Foundation, the SmileMobile was brought to a local school to help low income families receive dental care. Dr. Eric Kvinsland and his dental assistant Candace Hegseth, among other dentists, volunteered there time to take care of patients.
